Hey guys, today I'll be teaching you 7 cute hacks and tips for a perfect glow-up to start the new year! Although I'm writing it in January this post is for the whole year so that whenever you want a new look you can just click on it and find a range of tips! From cheap to fancy to simple there is bound to be something for you! oh and make sure to scroll to the bottom for a special book recomendation bound to bright up your day! Ok lets get started......
1. New hairstyle! Ok so this isn't exactly the easiest/cheapest/simplest but its really fun and can make you look cooler or maturer or just take a bit of weight of your shoulders ! (literally) I cut my hair short after having it long for a really long time and the next day I was showered by compliments boosting my confidence and happiness!ππ
2. DIY face scrub! This one is perfect to clean your face and get rid of dry and dead skin and you can make it in a few simple steps:
Ingredients
2 tbsp Brown Sugar: (Fine grain is better than white sugar, as it’s softer on the skin).
1 tbsp Raw Honey:π― (Natural antibacterial and moisturizing properties).
1 tsp Olive Oil or Coconut π₯₯Oil: (For a smooth glide and deep hydration).
Optional: 1 drop of Lavender essential oil (for the "zen" aesthetic).
Instructions
Mix: In a small, clean bowl, stir the sugar and honey together until they form a thick paste.
Add Oil: Mix in your oil of choice slowly. You want it to be damp, not swimming in oil.
Apply: Cleanse your face first. While your skin is still damp, apply a small amount of the scrub using your ring fingers (they apply the least pressure).
Massage: Use light, circular motions for about 30 to 60 seconds. Avoid the delicate eye area!
Rinse: Use lukewarm water to rinse thoroughly. Pat your face dry with a clean towel.
⚠️ A Note on Safety: Manual exfoliation (scrubs) should be done gently. Always do a patch test on your jawline first, and never use this on broken or irritated skin.
3. a relaxing bath/shower. Personally I always feel better after a long bath or shower. It definitely relaxes you especially if you heat up your towell so it feels like a nice warm blanket! π Ooh and if you choose bath definetely add a bath bomb or bubbles ! π«§
4. Crystal time! Here are some good crystals for a perfect meditation that will live you recharged:
Amethyst and selenite duo: both help clear your mind of stress making them perfect to help empty your brain after a long and stressful day ☺.
Rose quartz: of all the crystals rose quartz is defo my favourite π! Its just so beautiful and has a lovely vibe and..... anyway back on topic π€£. A heart shaped rose-quartz is absolutely perfect for self love making it perfect to make you feel good at the end of the day!
Jade: jade can help depuff your eyes in the morning if you have a "jade roller". Yeah I have no clue what that is but it sounds cool! π I'm going to put a picture below so you can visualize this misterious item...
What did I say, COOL!!!!! I mean lets be honest, it looks fancy and it absorbs those unwanted toxins form your face!
Citrine: The sun stone citrine is perfect for boosting your mood and giving you a glow from with in like a tiny sun π inside you!
5. The one-compliment-a-day challenge! So this tip comes with a challenge, this week or month or however long you want to I want you to try this: give at least one compliment per day, you could tell someone you like there outfit or write a nice comment in a blog or channel you like or leave a kind note for someone. It will teach you to look out for the beauty in others leading to you and others seeing the beauty in you as well! In addition you will feel good and happy π especially if they compliment you back!
6. The ice-facial: submerge your face in cold water for 15 to 30 seconds or wrap a small block of ice π§in a thin cloth and pace it over your face. This constricts blooded vessels and closes pores which reduces puffiness as well as giving you a natural flush.
7. Last but not least a good nights sleep! π€ A good nights sleep can go further than you think, sleeping takes away bags under your eyes and lack of sleep can make your complection look duller and greyer leading to a sickly look. Of course its not always easy to sleep especially if you feel like this: π¬+π¬+π¬+π¬+π¬+π¬+π¬+π¬+π¬+π¬+π¬+π¬+π = π. So try to clear your mind using calming music and meditation and the crystal ritual at number 4! Trust me it will make so much of a difference!
